🥧 Cozy recipe

Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies (opens in a new tab)

Jennifer Segal folds tahini, the sesame paste, into a classic chocolate chip dough, so the cookies come out chewy with a quiet nutty note. It is the sort of recipe that makes the whole house smell like home.

Why it's cozy: Letting the dough rest in the fridge overnight builds a little anticipation, and the reward is a tray of thick cookies to share once they set.

Witches, Dark Wizards, and Dishonorable Knights in Shining Armor - Between Part 1: Chapters 10-17 (opens in a new tab)

Book Dragon Banter's latest video continues the hosts' buddy read of Between by L.L. Starling, this time covering chapters 10 through 17 of Part 1. Judging by the episode title, Sage, Katherine and Zinzi Bree have witches, dark wizards and some rather unchivalrous knights in shining armor to talk over.

Why it's cozy: Reading one novel together a handful of chapters at a time, the three hosts make each episode feel like a book club you can join from the sofa.

🫖 Tea to try

In-Conversion Teahouse Matcha (opens in a new tab)

Rishi Tea sources this matcha from the first tender leaves of spring, grown in the volcanic tea gardens of Kagoshima and Shizuoka in Japan. The partner farms already grow it organically but are partway through the years-long switch to certification, so the tea is sold as in-conversion. Rishi describes a sweet, savory bowl with a creamy texture, meant for whisking the traditional way.

Why it's cozy: Sifting and whisking matcha by hand is a ritual you cannot hurry, and each tin backs farmers who are partway through going organic.

3 Italian ‘Hobbits’ Searched for Irishman’s ‘Precious’ Wedding Ring for Days Before Bringing it to His Home (opens in a new tab)

Good News Network reports that Patrick Mohr, an Irishman on holiday in Italy with his family, lost his wedding ring of 16 years in a fast mountain stream. Three young Italians, Filippo Palagi, Nicola Malloggi and Edoardo Poggi, kept looking for three days, roping themselves to boulders on the last one, until Malloggi spotted it glinting in the sand. Then they flew to Ireland and turned up at his door dressed as hobbits.

Why it's cozy: Three strangers turned a lost ring into a Tolkien quest, and it ended with a pub round in Ireland and promises of lasting friendship.

Richard Osman's The Impossible Fortune came out in 2025. Who's got time to think about murder when there's a wedding to plan? Save it for a long weekend and a warm blanket.

Why it's cozy: Wedding plans keep elbowing the murder aside in Richard Osman's story, so the happy fuss of a big day sets the tone more than the crime.
